Pentecost - The day God put His power in the Church

Pentecost; the day God came down and put power in the church.  Before Pentecost the believers were hiding behind locked doors.  After Pentecost nothing could stop them from telling other people about God's love.  In the second chapter of Acts it says: "On the day of Pentecost^[a] all the believers were meeting together in one place. ² Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. ³ Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them." NLT

From such humble beginnings the believers spread out to much of the world within one generation.
