Christmas Verses

 

MEMORY CROSS: 12 VERSES OF CHRISTMAS

Matthew 1:21             (21)“She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

Matthew 1:23             (23)“The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel,” which means, God with us.

Luke 1: 27,28             (27) ...the virgin's name was Mary. (28) The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored!  The Lord is with you."

Matthew 2:2               (2)“Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews?  We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.”

Matthew 2:6               (6)“But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel.”

Matthew 2:11             (11) On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him.  Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh                         

Luke 1:32                   (32)“He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.  The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.”

Luke 1:36-37              (36)“Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month.  (37) For nothing is impossible with God”

Luke 1: 46-49             (46) And Mary said:  “My soul glorifies the Lord (47) and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, (48)for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant.  From now on all generations will call me blessed, (49) for the Mighty One has done great things for me- holy is his name.”

                                                                                                    

Luke 2:10-11              (10) But the angel said to them,   “Do not be afraid.   I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people.  (11) Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.”

Mark 1:2-3                It is written in Isaiah the prophet: "I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way, a voice of one calling in the desert, Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him."

John 1:1                      "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
